We recently caught up with the Lady of the moment Maluca of the MAD DECENT (Major Lazer) Record Label/Movement to ask her some interesting & a few awkward questions.

1. What up Maluca, where are you?

Maluca: Im at my moms house

2. White boys, black boys, or brown boys?

Maluca: ALL BOYS!

3. What artist has had the most influence on your sound?

Maluca: ESG! they write from the heart and keep it simple

4. Iphone or Blackberry?

Maluca: BlackBerry

5. 4 arms with hands or 4 legs with feet?

Maluca: 4 arms with hands definitely!

6. Festivals or shows?

Maluca: shows

Maluca: Both

9.Describe your music in 4 words?

Maluca: New Potpourri Sound Systems

10. Favourite song at the moment?

Maluca: Stillness is the Move – Dirty Projectors

11. Favourite Artist at the moment?

Maluca: Nikki Minaj

12. Iwannawritetoufool@gmail.com, what is that all about?

Maluca: One day i was just writing on twitter how im over the facebook poking and the BBM’s and how i wanted to start writing letters….. and right after that post i started iWannaWriteToUFool@gmail.com account and told ppl’s to hit me up with their addresses and they did!! So crazy! PPL sending me emails like “i just broke up with boyfriend and would love a letter” or “could you write to my school” ” or my girl really likes you could you write to her” One kid said he never received anything in the mail except credit card bills and how happy he was to get a letter! going through the process of finding cool stationary, writing, sealing envelopes, and going to the mail box is sooo much fun!!! And it feels great to connect with people like this!

13. Craziest crowd yet was where?

Maluca: Was in Brussels…. i performed in front of 10,000 ppl!! At one point i thought i was gonna run off the stage crying….. BUT i ended up KILLING it…like usual!! but later on that night i jump over a fence and fell and fractured my back! hahahahaha!

14.Where can we find you on a sunday afternoon?

Maluca: At my dads house eating pork chops and velveta shells and cheese!

15. What about a friday night?

Maluca: Fridays kinda end up at Q-Tip’s party @ Santos Party House

Maluca: Mac

17. Biggest turn off on a guy?

Maluca: skinny girly hands

18. Biggest turn on?

Maluca: Big Burly hands

19. Half of our readers have a crush on you, do you have a message for them?

Maluca: HOLLER!

20. What’s your plans musically for the next 6 months?

Maluca: Just to put out more dope music!

21. Where is Maluca Mala as an artist in 3 years!
